Urban artists in the Madison area are invited to learn about business strategies in the “New Industry”. We will focus on business aspects such as goal-setting,professional networking both in person and online, and building a budget, and marketing aspects such as building a brand to define an artist’s identity and effective promotional strategies. The event will conclude with Q&A as time allows. Local urban artists will be able to use the information presented at this event to develop a realistic path forward in their music careers.

Artists of all levels should attend, network, learn and share!

Join us to night at the Frequency for a hot line up of local artists! This show is a fundraiser for the 2012 Madison Hip-Hop Awards, which will be held on Saturday, November 10th and will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County and Urban Community Arts Network.

We WILL have the Bears/Packers game on, so come down early to watch the game with us! We will start promptly at 10pm as we have a lot of great artists to feature.  See you there!

Madison, WI by way of Chicago hip-hop artist RedJak releases a promotional video for his track “Haters”. This track will be featured on his upcoming mixtape “#ImStillTrendingHoeReloaded” that will be mixed and hosted by Certified Gold hip hop producer DJ Pain 1. This video was filmed and edited in mid July in Fitchburg, WI by rising video producer Collin Schroeder of Down 2 Earth films. The video is also a promotion for 50 Cent’s new SmS Audio Headphone brand, which RedJak displays in the video. At the end of the video the Sk logo is displayed which is also a 50 Cent branded company “Street King” which are energy shots sold to help provide meals for children in Africa with a 5 year goal of feeding 1 billion total. Since RedJak has closely worked with the mogul 50 Cent and his “G-Unit” imprint this past year, he decided to help pronote the brand through his recent music. Untamed Youth Music is a Hip Hop group that consists of MC Genesis,
the artist, and MrIAMBLAiSE. the producer. Their first mixtape ‘The
Mixtape’ was a big hit with their fans with hot singles like Best
Thing Flowin’, Biggest Inspiration, and Haterz Talkin’. Also featured
many special guests including Patrice, Dusk One, Pragmatic, Kameo, and
a few more. Both MC Genesis and MrIAMBLAiSE are from Greenville, WI
but moved to Minneapolis, MN to persue their music carrer and dreams
of getting to the top and have met many good people on the way. ‘Dirty
Greenville Kids’ Official music video was shot in their hometown with
their closest friends. ‘DGK’ is also their first single of their
upcoming album ‘No Sleep EP’ coming out at the end of summer.
